ISO 14001 Services
Matrix has conducted numerous projects to design, develop and implement an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System for certification of the organization. Services include the following:
- Meetings with top management and line Supervisors to promote management awareness and commitment;
- EMS Awareness Training throughout the organization to introduce EMS Concepts and developmental tasks;
- Development of the EMS procedures to conform with the ISO 14001 Specification;
- Working with the facility to identify environmental aspects and impacts;
- Development of operational procedures to control the significant environmental aspects and impacts;
- Internal EMS Auditor Training and conduct of EMS audits.

Matrix has provided ISO 14001 consulting and training to organizations throughout the U.S. A few notable examples:
- Matrix helped the Orange County Convention Center to become the first certified convention center in the U.S.
- Matrix helped JEA to become the first certified water plant in Florida
- Matrix helped the City of Tallahassee to become the first certified wastewater operation to be certified in Florida
- Matrix helped the City of Palm Bay to become the first combined public works to be certified in Florida
- Matrix has taught the EMS for Biosolids course throughout the U.S. to more than thirty City and County Municipalities
- Matrix works with Clients to maintain and expand their EMS
